About Us
Byron Life drawing is the longest running life drawing group in the Byron Bay area.
Byron Life Drawing runs two sessions a week on Wednesdays at 10am til 12:30 and Saturdays from 1pm til 3:30.
The first hour of the sessions are comprised of short poses ranging from one minute up to ten minutes.view from studio
The group then has a 30 minute break for tea, coffee and cake or biscuits.
The second half of the session comprises of two half hour poses.This time strucure is based on the model of the National Art School life drawing groups.
Byron Life Drawing is facilitated by Byron Live Studio. Byron Live Studio is nestled in the tranquil hinterland of Broken Head just south of Byron Bay.
Byron Live Studio was purpose built for life drawing, it features natural lighting sky lights, 360 degree angle views of the model for alternate pose- angles, plenty of space for artists. Halogen spot lights are available when necessary.

You need to bring you own medium to draw paint or creat with. Popular mediums include pencils, pastels, inks, charcoal, graphite, paints - its up to you!
We supply paper (newsprint and cartridge paper) paper incurs additional costs
Easels are provided free as well as chairs, desk, tables etc.
