Cathy Martin is an artist and graphic designer based in Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia. Most of her artwork is photographic focusing on light, shadow and reflection.

"These are photographs of light and shadow falling in ordinary corners and spaces.
The light came from the sun, some of the shadows were made by the wind. I began by taking pictures of objects, then the spaces around them became more important, it was like another world came into being, and it was an extraordinary world, even though it was in my loungeroom. When I was quite young, my favourite books were CS Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, I had always wanted a magic wardrobe to explore and the worlds I found in these images were like another place to be."
