Donna Sharam

Essentially, my artworks reflect my personality, my passion for life and my enjoyment of living in the beautiful Northern Rivers.

I am constantly endeavoring to visually communicate the way I perceive the space around me and to recreate my experience of events and memories. I am inspired by the exciting, magnetic and inviting environment in which I live. I am currently working on a series of underwater paintings and sculptures of the Northern Rivers Coast and landscape works of the Byron Bay Hinterland.

My artworks express my feelings with the use of intense, vibrant, and bold colour, exaggerated texture and strong patterns of distorted geometric forms and rhythmic organic shapes. I work mostly on board and therefore, the tactile nature of my work allows you to touch it and step into the artwork and experience it in a much deeper way than just by sight.

I desire to leave this world a more jubilant and harmonious place and I therefore hope that when you experience my artworks, which are electrified with positive life thoughts, that this energy will be transferred into your life and environment, creating for you a happier and stronger living space.
