My passion is textiles from around the world and a background within the clothing industry beginning in Collins St Melbourne.
I moving to the north coast in 1979 and eventually set up my own retail outlet in Brunswick Heads which I operated for a period of 11 years producing my own original designs and supporting other local designers.

I currently source Vintage Kimono and Obi textiles from Japan which are a great inspiration. The textiles I select are traditional hand painted Yuzen formal Kimono, girl's ceremonial Kimono and a variety of rich Obi silk brocade.

The textiles are expertly handcrafted and transformed into designer shoulder bags, fashion accessories and home wares.

I also produce hand craft jewelery using a variety of materials Yuzen paper kiln fired glass, Mother of pearl shell, freshwater pearl and red coral creating interesting wearable art.

My designs are available at local markets, Pure Byron Johnston St Byron Bay and on line.
