Judson Chatfield has been a passionate professional sculptor for over 30 years working in a broad range of materials. The concepts for his pieces arise from many forms of stimulation; a fragment of texture, a distortion of light through trees, a whimsical comment or the elegant flight of a bird.

Each idea is translated through a sculptural technique through a medium that best suits it's expression. For example, ephemerial or dynamic movement can best be represented through glass, strong flowing themes in carved wood, static strength in steel, stability, mass and beauty in marble or stone and so on…
