My inspiration for making work in ceramics comes from the world I’m captivated by; ancient forever changing landscapes and continually inspiring observations of the natural world. I like to make social comment or share an idea with the viewer and I enjoy the limitless potential and freedom that ceramics allows me.

I came to art as an environmentalist. I create work in nature, with nature and about nature.
Originally all my work was made entirely from plant fibres that I collected from my local area and made into utilitarian forms. However, my practise has expanded to include metal, fishing line and glass, creating objects of beauty.

My ceramic endeavours include both functional and sculptural works. The functional forms incorporate contemporary design and classical surfaces, giving new life to ancient glazes.
