Matthew Farrell is an emerging young Australian glass artist with extensive experience in both flame worked and furnace worked glass. He is currently creating works that reflect an intensive exploration of the contemporary and expressive potential of this fascinating and ancient medium.

Created from rare cold glass, steel, objects from nature and salvaged timber my work attempts to create beauty from shattered parts. All my work is directly inspired by the natural world and attempts to capture the haunting beauty found in our landscapes and people of Australia.
