I am captivated by the wonderful light and colour we have in this part of the world.... I surf and enjoy our clean,clear ocean and am constantly challenged to capture that feeling of sunshine and warmth on canvas.

George Maddox is a Byron Bay local artist who uses abstract images from the mind to capture the lifestyle and beauty of our local area. Using heavy, vibrant oils on linen canvas, her collection of works is sort after by art collectors all over Australia.

I am constantly inspired by people and faces, the trees(especially the trees), the animals, the ocean and the city, feeling that it is all a wonderful, insightful, research program to help my creative currency expand and prosper. My life is art, my inspirations are music, nature, color, shapes and light.

I am known for my mixed media work using mostly oils silver and gold leaf.The painting "Morning light" is representing my work and style very well.

I'm an illustrator/artist with a Diploma of Illustration from NMIT. I am able to work in a range of media, including digital and traditional, but my most loved medium is soft pastel. My style has been described as 'quirky', which I take as a compliment!

Caro Liddell immigrated to Australia in 2001 and became an Australian citizen on August 19th 2005. She lives in the Minyon falls area above Byron Bay in Northern New South Wales. Liddell was first noticed by Michael Fox of Fox Galleries, during her first solo show in Australia, entitled ‘New Work 2003 ‘.
