I am captivated by the wonderful light and colour we have in this part of the world.... I surf and enjoy our clean,clear ocean and am constantly challenged to capture that feeling of sunshine and warmth on canvas.

Cathy Martin is an artist and graphic designer based in Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia. Most of her artwork is photographic focusing on light, shadow and reflection.

I am constantly inspired by people and faces, the trees(especially the trees), the animals, the ocean and the city, feeling that it is all a wonderful, insightful, research program to help my creative currency expand and prosper. My life is art, my inspirations are music, nature, color, shapes and light.

Professionally trained in both Graphic Design and Art Direction, I gained my experience in some of Sydney's largest advertising and design agencies and blue-chip corporate firms, whilst picking up many loyal and valued clients along the way.
